2. Core Principle: Zero Data Transmission The Starlink NMEA Data Bridge is designed with absolute privacy in mind. This app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with the internet, external servers, the Developer, or any third parties. All data processing occurs strictly locally on your device and within your local area network (LAN/WLAN).

3. Data Processing and Permissions To function properly, the app requires specific device permissions. Here is exactly what the app accesses and why:

• Location Data (Foreground and Background): The app requests your precise location. This is strictly necessary for the spoofing alarm to function.  it allows the app to calculate the distance between your device's internal GPS and the Starlink antenna's location to trigger an alarm and notify you in case the GPS becomes unreliable. The background location permission is required so the Alarm can continue to protect your vessel even when the device screen is turned off, or the app is running in the background while you use other (navigation) software.

• Local Network Access: The app generates NMEA 0183 sentences (GPGGA, GPVTG) based on the Starlink data and broadcasts them via UDP and TCP strictly to the local network your device is connected to. The UDP transmission will enable ALL devices in your network listening to the correct port to receive your precise location.

None of this location or network data ever leaves your device or your local ship network.
